Its is with gratitude that we write this well overdue Newsletter. What a year it has been! Although it might have looked quiet from our side on the Newsletter front, this was as result of many new developments and projects in progress within Welcome Assist. We will share more on these exciting projects in a moment.
The elation of becoming the 2023 Rugby World Cup champions was incredible! It was a cause for national celebration and unity, bringing together our diverse nation, transcending social and cultural boundaries. How amazing to see everyone in such high spirits, celebrating side by side!
Winning the Rugby World Cup is a momentous event for South Africa, impacting the nation on various levels, from national pride and unity to sporting excellence and inspiration. It also serves as a reminder of the power of sport to unite and inspire.
On that high note, we also had some recent highlights within Welcome Assist that we are grateful for. We were delighted to be part of Wesgro’s Made in the Cape Market at the V&A Waterfront from 6-30 October. This was a first of its kind immersive retail experience with QR codes reflecting information on the origin of the items on sale. The stand had a beautifully designed structure and a professional team on site. A fabulous variety of original products from the Western Cape was on sale. Final statistics received on the sales performance of the market, put us in second place! We are so grateful for this opportunity and hope this will become an annual showcase at one of the most visited venues in Cape Town.
